The Human Performance Laboratory is a center for excellence in health science providing a unique link between Stanford’s prestigious Athletics program, the School of Medicine, and various Academic Departments within the University. We perform interdisciplinary research integrating fields of biomechanics, biomedical engineering, physiology, psychology, and rehabilitation.
The Human Performance Lab (HPL) is a team of multi-displinary clinicians and researchers that provide state-of-the-art approaches to injury prevention research and testing.
Research and Testing
The key theme of the HPL is "Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport and Exercise" with translational medicine being at the heart of all inter-displinary HPL research projects.
