We have seven (7) PGY-1 positions available each year through the National Residency Match Program.

Application Process

Our program utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). If interested in applying, please coordinate with the Dean's office at your medical school to submit your application materials via ERAS.

Application Requirements:

To apply, you must complete the Common Application Form (CAF) on ERAS, including the following:

  1.  Dean’s Letter aka MSPE
  2.  Medical student transcript with current surgery grades
  3.  At least 3 letters of recommendation (Additional letters may be submitted. Standarized letter of recommendation and/or  traditional narrative letters are both accepted)
  4.  Personal statement
  5.  USMLE Step 1 scores (Step 2 scores are not a requirement but should be shared if you have them)
  6.  Color photo

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE is as Monday, October 17, 2022

Invitations for interviews will be sent out mid-November. Students invited to interview will have 48 hours to RSVP to Janet Lockshin. After which time, their invitation will be forfeited, and the interview position may be offered to another applicant.
