ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

The Stanford Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship is an intensive one-year program designed to provide advanced training in the treatment of all aspects of orthopaedic trauma. The fellowship offers comprehensive exposure to the management of polytrauma patients, complex articular fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures, as well as post-traumatic conditions such as nonunion, malunion, and infection.  Fellows will gain extensive experience in complex hip arthroplasty for the treatment of proximal femur, acetabular and peri-prosthetic femur fractures. Our team of orthopaedic trauma surgeons are committed both to patient care and excellence in fellowship education.  Fellows should expect a collegial and hands-on clinical experience as well as opportunities to develop teaching, research, and leadership skills. This program strives to produce outstanding surgeons, impactful educators, productive clinician-scientists, and leaders in the field.

Being recognized as an AO Trauma North America fellowship site for 2024-2025 is a significant achievement. This recognition highlights our commitment to providing high-quality training and education in trauma care.
